Want to find the largest selection of plus size clothing and get the best deal? Consider shopping on eBay. I have had over 3500 successful transactions on eBay, and it is my favorite online place to shop when looking for new clothes for my own closet. After so many personal transactions on eBay, my 5 favorite reasons for shopping on eBay are:
1. Large Selection – I would say this is the biggest reason I keep coming back to eBay. At the time of this writing, the plus size women’s clothing section of eBay had over 150,000 listings in both auction and buy-it-now formats. I can almost always find exactly what I’m looking for on eBay. Recently, I have been desperate to find a large selection of plus size maternity clothing as I am expecting a new baby soon. I can find a small selection of plus size maternity clothing in my local stores, but on eBay today, there were over 800 plus size maternity listings to choose from with both auction and buy-it-now options.
2. Fantastic Deals – Oh man, I love a good deal! You will find a variety of prices when shopping on eBay. Take some time to look and you can find fantastic deals on both new and used clothing. I’ve purchased both new and used items for less than $2, plus about $5 shipping for single items and groups of items for an average price of $2 per item with the shipping already included! It does take some looking and sometimes some advanced bidding skills to get these deals consistently, but even a beginner can find this type of deal if they really look for it.
3. Convenience – Shopping from my own home in my pajamas at any time of the day or night, that’s living! As a mother of 2 little ones and a third one on the way, the mall just isn’t as fun as it used to be. Even if my girls are behaving like absolute angels, there is still the temptation to stop by the toy store or the food court for a snack with them. When you take the price of gas and impulse buys into account, I save even more shopping online and I don’t have to worry about 2 car seats and public restrooms.
4. Security – Once you know the in’s and out’s of eBaying, it is a very secure place to shop. EBay has a great feedback system in place so you can check out a seller’s history before you buy, and if you use Paypal to pay, you can protect yourself from a deadbeat seller. In 3500 transactions I have encountered 1 deadbeat seller and less than 1{68d322ae31f1e6e0c1fb01577a31b4c5acc2b218b32cc133daf91ba1cb302777} of my transactions have been unsatisfactory. If you really look into the feedback of the seller you can find someone you are comfortable dealing with.
5. Diversity of Items – Sometimes, I prefer to buy used clothing. I can usually get better deals this way and I like to buy entire wardrobes at the same time. For instance, when I’m looking for maternity clothing, I don’t mind purchasing used because the former user probably wore them for a minimum amount of time. Also, their entire wardrobe may be listed in one auction, which usually means a great deal for the buyer; me. Sometimes, I want a special piece of clothing and I want it to be new, like a swimsuit. I can shop for it in the same place at the same time that I’m shopping for a used wardrobe, maybe pick up a pair of shoes for my husband, a toy for my dog, and some Disney videos for children. You can even buy live lobster delivered directly to your door on eBay. It really has everything.
