Lingerie is one of those items that is personal, sexy and intimate. Because of its nature, there are many questions that arise from it. Many people would even argue that lingerie is not just for one party, it is for all. With that thought, there are a few different concepts you must relate to before you decide to pick a lingerie piece for your woman.
First, you want to make sure you know her general taste. Even if she does not own a piece of lingerie in her wardrobe, you should still be able to distinguish what she likes or does not like. If you look in her wardrobe, you will tend to see a color pattern. If you see a lot of one color, ten to one, this is the color that she is most comfortable in.

You will also need to determine her size. There are many size charts available. In fact, each brand has their own. If you are unsure of her size, it is always best to check the “underwear” drawer. If for some reason you cannot access these items, you will have to distinguish between small, medium, large, extra large, and so forth.
If you have to categorize this way, it would be best to go with an item such as a babydoll or camisole. This is because corsets and bustiers are very specific. You will also want to go for items that say “S/M”, which is Small and Medium, “M/L” which is medium and large, and on up.
Do not pick an item that you like but you know she will hate. This is a very important factor. You need to put yourself in her position. This is a gift from you, to her; for both of you. The only way you will get her to participate is if she feels comfortable.
Last but not least, another great way to get into her head about lingerie is to ask. Have a steamy conversation, browse through magazines, etc. It does not even have to be lingerie. It can be a revealing outfit. You will be able to get her response on things like this. You will be able to tell what type of confidence she has in herself by pointing out outfits that have different “sexy” ranges.
